Gapped Ferrite Toroids
| Ceramic Magnetics, Inc. manufactures micro-gapped toroidal cores as small as 0.150" [3.8mm] OD x 0.090" [2.3mm] ID x 0.020" [0.5mm] high. These cores offer the low loss advantage of ferrites and effective permeabilities of 100 to 400. Gapped toroids offer a cost effective alternative to gapped shapes in transformer applications or powdered metal cores used in output chokes. Gapped toroids can reduce size, reduce losses, and are less noisy than other core technologies. |  |
